Kickstarter!

The Kickstarter page was accepted! Now I just have to get that set up and try and get at least a few people to back it, and we can get things a-rolling. I am asking for $10,000 from the Kickstarter community, but with it I can get a website up and running, pay for hosting [and maybe a real designer], buy all of the gear needed to run a website, and enough so I can make the website my full time job until AdSense can start providing revenue.

Since it's Kickstarter, I am not just asking for a handout. In addition to helping start the best Internet Radio Station in history, we will also have several rewards for donators:

PLEDGE $5 OR MORE

Your name on the Dontaor page and free ATOMIC RADIO stickers and pins

PLEDGE $25 OR MORE
All of the above and a free ATOMIC RADIO t-shirt

PLEDGE $50 OR MORE
All of the above and a shout out of your choosing on a live radio show

PLEDGE $100 OR MORE
All of the above, a guest call in spot on a live show, and an ad on the home page for one month

PLEDGE $250 OR MORE
All of the above, a 3 month banner ad on the home page, and 3 names on the guest list of any ATOMIC RADIO PRESENTS live show in Milwaukee WI

Once we have the website up and profitable, we will start sending out all of the rewards to donators as quick as possible.

It really means a lot to me to be given such a great opportunity from Kickstarter, and the opportunity to do something I think is really special and worthwhile. I will work my damnedest to provide fresh, original, and most importantly, entertaining daily content. I have a lot of things planned for ATOMIC RADIO, and I would love the opportunity to provide content for all of you fine folks.

More updates soon,

Finished homepage layout and Other things

I have spent way too damn long making sure everything is symmetrical.

So here we are a few weeks in. I have finished the homepage for ATOMIC RADIO and am working on the single page. I have decided to use self hosted Wordpress for the hosting because, hey, why not. I did want to do something way more simple than that, but I am a perfectionist and I want to let this to look perfect. So, time to learn how to code a Wordpress theme. This will be exciting, won't it? If any of you know how to code Wordpress, for the love of god help me.

As for the design, I want to keep it simple. Mostly because I am shit with design, but hey, I can claim it's artistic choice. Yay art school. I couldn't think of a good color scheme, and the more I worked with just black and white and grey the more I seemed to really like it. I did change the header a few times, and I like it reaching all the way to the edge with black. I made the website way skinnier than I had it too, all the way down to 1020px by 1780px, because it is hard to fit in all of the things I want and stay skinny and not long as all hell.

The logo is my particular favorite, an atomic bomb falling with the old school RKO radio tower lightning bolts. Sheer design genius, if I do say so myself. And it will look pretty damn cool on a t-shirt too, once we start printing them.

Wannabe Art Deco Deliciousness.

So that's all for now. Gonna go back to drooling over Wordpress tutorials to try and make this layout usable. Applied for a Kickstarter today, hopefully we can find some backers and I can make this dream a reality. Wish us luck, my little monsters.
